This document sets out the terms and conditions for renting Pickle Cottage from the owners, Miss Caroline Salisbury and Mr Alex Littleton for holiday purposes. By booking and paying for your stay, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.  Please read them carefully and contact Caroline, if you have any questions, on 07738 359404.

Booking and Payment

A deposit payment of 20% is required to book online via the website. Payment of the remaining balance will be due 30 days before the arrival date, or if this is less than 30 days, then full payment would be due upon booking. You will receive an email link for payment.

If you prefer, you can contact us via email on info@picklecottage.uk to request a booking, at which point a 20% deposit will be due to secure the booking. The balance must be paid 30 days before the arrival date, or if this is less than 30 days, then full payment would be due upon booking.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

You can cancel your booking by contacting Caroline by phone or email.  The following refund policy applies:

• If you cancel more than 30 days before your arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit and any other payments you have made.
• If you cancel between 15 and 30 days before your arrival date, you will receive a refund of payments that you have already made, excluding your deposit.
• Refunds for cancellations within 14 days of the arrival date will be at our discretion.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as damage to the property, natural disasters, or health emergencies.  In such case, you will receive a full refund of your deposit and any other payments you have made.  We will not be liable for any other costs or losses you may incur as a result of the cancellation.

Check in and Check out

You can check into Pickle Cottage from 3pm on the day of your arrival.  The key safe code and directions to the cottage will be sent to you via email the day before your arrival.

You must check out of Pickle Cottage by 10am on the day of your departure.  Please lock the property securely and return the keys to the key safe.  Please report any damages to Caroline before you leave.

Use of the property

The property is let for holiday purposes only.

You agree to use Pickle Cottage and its facilities in a respectful and responsible manner, and to comply with the house rules provided by us.  You also agree to:

• Not exceed the maximum occupancy of four guests.  Only guests named on the booking form should stay overnight at the property.
• Not bring any pets, they are not allowed at Pickle Cottage.
• Not smoke inside the property (including vaping), and to dispose of any cigarette butts in the sand bucket provided outside.
• Ensure the property is left secure at all times when unoccupied during your stay.
• Keep details of the key safe code secure and only share with those named on the booking form.
• Not cause any nuisance, noise or disturbance to the neighbours or local community.
• Not use the property for any illegal, immoral, or commercial purposes.
• Not sublet or assign the property to anyone else.

We reserve the right to terminate your stay if you breach any of these terms and conditions.  You will also be liable for any costs or damages arising from your breach.

We are not responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage, or theft that may occur to you or your belongings during your stay at Pickle Cottage.  You are advised to take out adequate travel insurance to cover any such risks. 

You are responsible for any damage or theft you may cause to the property or its contents during your stay.  We reserve the right to charge reasonable payment for breakages or damage which occur as a result of reckless or deliberate misuse.  Any missing items must be paid for in full.
